Saving to Thumb Drive
How do I change the default folder for my Moneydance data from the User folder to my thumb drive. I'd like the backup to also be on the thumb drive. Please provide good details. I think I've done it, but it doesn't go to where I thought I had it and automatically open the last used data file. Thank you.

You cannot change the default location, you can only move data files after they have been created, you then have to use Open Other to navigate to the new location and open the file from there.
Thumb drives are not the most reliable of devices, having your data file and your backups on the same device is not the best of ideas, one device fails and you lose everything and hardware does fail.
