Yes, what you describe is a likely result of not creating the accounts before importing the data itself. Importing the account information first, and then the data second, is important for successfully importing a QIF file from Quicken. Let us know if this process still doesn't work for you after trying again, and if there is any consistency in the transactions that don't seem to be coming through correctly.

checking account. None of these transactions should be there. In fact,
my interpretation of the initial import is that no transactions should
be imported. Below is the screen shot of what I set up for the import.
I believe that is set up correctly. I'm trying now to just import the
transactions after importing the accounts. Will let you know what happens.

were created distorted the balances. Here's that screen shot. All of
the transactions shown are duplicates that should have been in the
respective accounts. It looks like only transfers to/from investment,
loan, and asset accounts where incorrectly imported.

transfers between accounts correctly. Are the transfer transactions
being posted in both accounts so that duplicate transactions are in each
account? Such as, the record in a of a transfer a to b produces entries
in a and b, and the record in b produces the same transaction in each
account?

When you purchase Moneydance the license you receive is valid for that version and the next major release, so a license purchased for Moneydance 2015 will be valid for the 2015 and 2017 versions.

To upgrade past this you can purchase an upgrade license at a 50% discount.

dwg
