Cannot import stock basis
I used an old, old Quicken. I cannot import my stock basis. I have spent hours and have not been able to enter a single stock. I also cannot create a profile an cannot create a profile. I am getting disgusted.

Dear Glum,
Not sure what you have tried. There may be quirks in the old old quicken format of qif files that MD is not handling correctly. I exported from a Quicken 2010 as a qif format and MD took it fairly well. There are some things that MD assumes since it is a strict double entry system where quicken is a bunch of single ended transactions.
Are you trying to enter a stock by hand? The basis cost should come across as the purchase of the stock.
