dear sir,

I am using moneydance version 2012 (821) on windows 7, and handybank for android. My computer was broken and out for repairs for nearly 3 weeks. During that time I entered numerous transactions on my android device and continued syncing to dropbox. When I got my computer back, I tried syncing with dropbox, but because most everything on my computer had been reinstalled, it was no longer linked to dropbox. long story short, I tried syncing over wifi. Instead of adding to the computer all of my transactions that I had done on my phone, it deleted all the transactions from my phone that were not on the computer!!! what is up with that?!!! I copied/backed up my moneydance folder from drop box onto my harddrive so nothing else would get screwed up unnecessarily. When I tried resyncing my phone with dropbox, it didn't add any of my previous transaction. HELP!!! how do i get my transactions back.

    Hi David,

Switching syncing methods on the Moneydance iOS apps will reset the syncing data, however I don't know the details of how HandyBank handles those things, since it's made by a third party. I would suggest contacting them for support since they might have a way to recover your transactions. You can contact them with the information on this page:

    Their support email address is:

And their user guide is located here:

You're also using a very old version of Moneydance 2012. After contacting them and looking into getting the data restored, I would suggest upgrading to the latest version of Moneydance 2012.5 (862), located here:
