<p>I'm sorry for our delayed response on this issue- are you still
seeing the slow panning problem in the most recent release of
SyncSpace? Do let me know and we'll go from there,</p>

Yes, it takes about 1 sec until the area is updated an completely
drawn.<br>
This happens both in the 4.0 release and inthe latest hockey
beta.</p>
<p>BTW No reason to say sorry. I just hope to have an app in the
end that is insanely great, SyncSpace has the potential!</p>

<p>I'm sorry again for our delayed response! Somehow your reply
slipped through the cracks.</p>
<p>What device are you using Syncspace on? Do you have any other
apps that are running in the background that are slowing down your
device and resulting in issues with updating in Syncspace,
possibly?</p>

I have an iPad 3rd generation with 64GB / 23GB free. No significant
other apps running. Mail, Safari, Neither games nor any other ugly
stuff. And it is easy to reproduce even after weeks.</p>
<p>Right now I have 311MB RAM free.<br>
Testing…<br>
Updating to 4.0.439…<br>
Yes, still<br>
Actually no update of the new area until I lift my finger from the
screen. I would expect that the new areas are displayed as soon as
they are moved into the screen area.</p>
<p>I hope I could help<br>
Matthias</p>

<p>This is currently operating as intended. In a future version we
hope to have the drawing "fill in" while you are panning/zooming,
but in this version it is only feasible to redraw once the pan/zoom
has finished. That is, except for the grid lines which are
re-rendered as you pan/zoom to give you a sense of where you are in
the drawing while zooming.</p>
<p>As for how long it takes to re-render, that depends entirely
upon the device and the complexity of the drawing that is visible
on screen. So far, the iPad 3 has the worst rendering performance
of nearly any iPad due to restricted RAM but having to drive a
retina display. We're continuously trying to improve the redrawing
time, but it will always be a function of the drawing complexity
and the hardware capabilities. I think that when we get the "redraw
while panning/zooming" function in, it should make the redrawing in
general feel much smoother.</p>

good job already -- even on an iPad 3. For instance frax ( <a href=
"http://fract.al">http://fract.al</a> ) is capable of rendering
fractal images while panning!<br>
I see this as a mandatory behavior of any app that offers
panning.</p></div>mprove
