We want to use it at
Transifex as a shared whiteboard with our remote coworkers.

Two issues:

Mimicking "point on the whiteboard" during a discussion, are
there plans to add a "Pointer" mode where you have an arrow which
is moved to wherever you click? We could emulate it with an actual
arrow and the move command, but it's not that slick.

Sometimes you zoom in to fix a part of the drawing. Very
frequent. But with SyncSpace the width of the line changes.
Actually, it remains the same (very thin). There should be a mode
where the line width is adjusted to the zoom level, so when you
zoom in, it becomes slightly wider to match the one before. Now I
understand that this comes a bit with the (awesome) infinite zoom
out-in feature, but a separate mode which, when you turn it off, it
"resets" to the current zoom level would work amazingly well.

Have you considered these?

Thanks for your message and your interest in SyncSpace! To
address your issues in order:

1) We do have plans to implement a pointer as you describe. We
plan to do that at the same time as we add the ability to "follow"
another person's viewpoint/location as they move throughout the
drawing. We hope to implement that feature this year, but to be
realistic it probably won't be released until early 2014.

2) We actually already do have line width matching within
certain zoom level thresholds. We tightened up the threshold a bit
in recent releases but it sounds like it may have been a bit too
tight. If the lines having the width you'd like to match are
on-screen and you're within about 50%-150% of the zoom level at
which those lines were drawn then the line widths should
automatically match up. Although that would also require that the
lines to be matched were drawn with the same width setting.

I'll widen the threshold a bit for the next update, which won't
be as long in coming as this most recent one!

Thanks!
the app store. It really helps!

Nice reply, thank you for your time.

The "follow presenter" is also a great idea as an option.

Unclear about the width matching -- it seemed quite off in my
tests. I
believe I was deeper than 150%, so you're probably right, the
threshold
might be the issue. The use-case is simple: Eg. I want to draw an
arrow. I
draw a line and then zoom in to its tip and draw the 2 extra lines.
They
need to match perfectly. It sounds it'll be very easy to test.

Having said this, I do see the very big value of being able to
draw
extremely thin lines when I'm zoomed in, so a 'reset' of the line
widths is
very useful, especially when drawing sketches etc. So I'd vote for
an
option to reset. But the default needs to be to have width
matching.

Once again, great software, thank you.
