You don’t state which version/build of Moneydance you are running. See under HELP – ABOUT MONEYDANCE. For example I am running 2017.5(1635). Before version 2017 you could place your data set in Dropbox and open the same data set on your two computers provided you opened only one at a time. Opening on both computer at the same time could lead to data corruption
Moneydance 2017 has an inbuilt sync engine which allows you to work on the same data set on two computers at different or even at the same time. You have a number of options to do this the best and most flexible is called “Dropbox Folder”. See http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/syncing-and-sharing-data You will need to download and install the free version of the cloud sharing client from Dropbox.
I also use Dropbox as my backup location in case my local hard drive fails. Moneydance has an automatic daily backup and a manual backup “Export Backup” which you can perform at any time.
I would also advise updating to the latest preview build on both computers as this fixes some syncing and other issues which exist in the released build.
Download from https://infinitekind.com/preview

Note you can also sync to iOS and Android devices.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/434456592017-09-14T16:55:12Z2018-05-26T13:21:00Zsyncing between 2 windows 10 devices

Many thanks for this. Much appreciated
