Set budget on parent categories

This question was asked a couple years ago. Wondering if it has been implemented yet or if there are plans to? I want to budget at the parent category level but be able to track and sort at the child category level. It doesn't make sense to try and micro-manage the budget at the child category level.

Say I have categories like this

I want to enter a budget amount of $400 at the parent level, Clothing and then let the Adults and Children amounts add up.

This is what currently happens

Clothing 0 of 400
    Adults 40 of 0
    Children 80 of 0

But what should happen is

Clothing 120 of 400
    Adults 40
    Children 80

Is there a way to accomplish this?

Hello. I would be interested in knowing how this feature question is answered. I too would like to budget at the parent category as budgeting at the child category level is too granular. The seeming lack of this feature is preventing me from making use of a budget within the application. Thank you.
