Budgeting by parent category & deleting child categories

I want to budget by parent category, mostly. I don't see a way to either delete the child categories from my budget or have them roll into the parent category. There is a red minus sign by each category, but clicking on it does nothing.

I have tried putting budget amounts only on the parent categories, then switching the view to show only the budgeted categories. But the spending for the parent categories does not populate with a total of the child categories. Thus, the budget does nothing to show me how much I spend. I see the bar graph on the summary screen, but it is just a quick summary, not a usable, robust budget.

    Hi Lisa,

    Thank you for contacting us.
The 'Mixed Interval' Budget Format might be a good option for you as it would give you the option to create an overview of all of the parent categories, by adding them to the budget.

You can find more on the 'Mixed Interval' Budget Format here.
