budget report figures inaccurate

I am trying to get an accurate report of my budget through 9/30/19...year to date figures.

I select Custom Dates, then enter dates 1/1/19 - 9/30/19

What results is most of the budgeted year to date figures are accurate, but random ones are picking up my full year budget total (through 12/31/19.)

This presents a problem whenever I try to print this report....it happened last time I ran this report for period ended 6/30/19. I spent hours double checking my monthly budgeted amounts adding the first 6 months then comparing / correcting in a separate spreadsheet.

I don't want to go through the agony of this exercise again. Can you tell me if this problem has appeared previously, and been corrected? I'm running 2019.3 on my Mac.

Thanks,

I have reviewed all your links and nothing addresses what I am experiencing.

Additionally, note that I have a total of 47 budget line items and of that
total, 28 presented incorrectly. (the incorrect ones took the entire 12
month budget, while those that presented correctly took the first 9 months
    (through 9/30/19)

I have tried to detect a trend, perhaps being some category budget items
are quarterly (i.e. numbers in the budget only show up in Jan, April, July,
Oct) thinking hey if there are zeroes in the remaining months, perhaps that
is what is causing this misrepresentation) but there are indeed categories
that have a budget number in every single month and some of these are
    misrepresented).

I went back to my own spreadsheet that I used as a tool to record my budget
numbers and fortunately could add the first 9 months in this spreadsheet to
get the accurate numbers. And then do a separate year to date - through
9/30/19 - to see accurate numbers reported. I really should not have to
do this outside of Moneydance. Moneydance should be getting this right for
    me.

Further, I have recommended Moneydance to a friend and helped her get
started on setting up her accounts. She in no way has the accounting
expertise as I do, and if down the road she experiences the same problem I
am, she will not be able to do a 'workaround' as I have described in the
    previous paragraph.

Please let me know if there is ANYthing else you can find on this.

    Regards,
