Currently the MD budget feature will not pick up any activity between accounts. So if you have any type of loan setup in MD, you cannot directly budget for those payments. Even transfers to investment will not be picked up in the MD budget feature. I'm guessing that is your issue. If so, there are ways around it. You can search the knowledge base for the keyword loan and you will find lots of discussion.

mhoggietag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/490395522021-02-17T19:37:05Z2021-10-26T19:29:13ZTransactions don't show up in budget

What you say appears to be the case. Once I stopped trying to include inter-account activity, everything else worked fine.

Thanks!

a simple way to budget loans is just to create a special category for your payments and add an additional reminder to automatically apply the payment amount to that category from a "Null" account on the same day as your real payment. Then you can budget for that special category.

mhoggie
