<li>When I open the 'Budget Manager' on the left sidebar, I have an income sub-category that has an income amount listed.</li>
<li>When I click on the 'green' (income) Budget Bar at the top of the summary page, that income sub-category & income is not listed/included</li>
<li>When I open the 'Budget' report on the left sidebar, it shows that income sub-category & income amount & says (Not In Budget)</li>
</ul>
<p>How do I get that income sub-category included in the Budget Bar totals at the top of the page?</p>
<p>Thank you, in advance, for your help.</p></div>joeltag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/492592832021-06-24T01:06:43Z2021-06-24T01:06:43ZNot In Budget?<div><p>just a user,</p>

Any suggestions would be appreciated.</p></div>joeltag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/492592832021-06-24T12:36:33Z2021-06-24T12:36:33ZNot In Budget?<div><p>just a user,</p>
<p>Ok, I think I understand. So you have a budget named "Budget- Annual" and when you click it, it opens the budget listing. The "Budget Manager" under tools, is a MD function that just shows the list of budgets you have created, not the budget details, so I think you are talking about the specific budget you created as "Budget-Annual". And you have the "Budget Bar" set to show the "Budget-Annual" statistics. Do you actually get a message that says "Not in Budget" or you just don't see it listed in the budget item listing ?</p></div>mhoggietag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/492592832021-06-24T12:44:25Z2021-06-24T12:52:19ZNot In Budget?<div><p>Editing now</p></div>joeltag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/492592832021-06-24T12:57:53Z2021-06-24T13:01:45ZNot In Budget?<div><p>Disregard above attachment, meant to attach the income one, see below. Yes, Budget Bar shows 'Budget-Annual'. The income shows 'Not In Budget' when I open the Budget report & the dollar amount shows. But, that income is not included when I open the Income Bar at the top of the page.</p></div>joeltag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/492592832021-06-24T13:26:35Z2021-06-24T13:26:35ZNot In Budget?<div><p>just a user,</p>
<p>I think the report you are running is the "Budget" report. I don't find way of show budget status in the "Income and Expenses" report. If that is correct, then I suspect you don't have a $dollar amount set for "Other Income:Miscellaneous" within the current month of the "Budget-Annual" budget, or if you are using the old style mixed interval budget format, that specific item "Other Income:Miscellaneous" has not been entered. The Budget Bar will not show categories where a budget has not been set.</p></div>mhoggietag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/492592832021-06-24T15:00:37Z2021-06-24T15:00:37ZNot In Budget?<div><p>"The Budget Bar will not show categories where a budget has not been set." I am not sure this is correct: in the below the 1st column of figures is for 2020 & the 2nd column is for 2021. For Consulting in 2021 you will see $3,250 income & $0 as the budget. For Miscellaneous you will see $3,139 as income & $0 as the budget. The $3,250 is included in the Income Budget Bar, but the $3,139 is not. I am trying to figure out why the $3,139 is not being included. Thanks!</p></div>joeltag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/492592832021-06-24T15:33:08Z2021-06-24T15:33:08ZNot In Budget?<div><p>just a user,</p>
<p>I may have misunderstood. I was thinking about the budget graph feature at the top of the main screen. Yeah, the "Budget Bar" feature is different. It has it's own settings to include whatever you want. "settings to the top right of the budget bars" But it will also indicate "not in budget" for any items that don't appear in the budget you select at the top of those settings. Also in the default "new style" budget, you have to put a number in the right field for it to be shown as part of the budget. Just enter a number there and you will see what I mean. I do recommend using the Old Style Mixed Interval budget setup. It works much better and you can hard set the budget options instead of having to copy them from past periods. Also depending on the purpose of your budget, I would recommend using the Money ForeSight Extension. It really helps predict future balances if you have your reminders set accurately.</p></div>mhoggietag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/492592832021-06-24T16:17:49Z2021-06-24T23:38:26ZNot In Budget?<div><p>mhoggie, thanks, for your help. I did try adding $1 as the budget for the $3,139 item and now that amount shows up in the Budget Bar amount.</p></div>joel
