I run YNAB4 side by side for my cash management/budgeting for zero-based envelope style budgeting.

Ryantag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/498885122022-06-08T07:48:19Z2022-06-08T07:48:20ZIs the Budgeting module under development

I too would like to see a better budgeting format in Moneydance. I was a long-time YNAB user but found it didn't suit my needs in terms of reporting, exporting, etc. I really like a lot of things about Moneydance, but I haven't found anything at all that is helpful or useful in terms of Budgeting.
It's incredibly time-consuming and so far, I get no useful information from it at all. I've read through various threads, followed instructions to try and set up budgets, waste4d a lot of hours of my life, but truly, in my opinion, the budgeting available in Moneydance is USELESS to me.
I don't really want to have to run YNAB side by side with Moneydance, but so far I'm not finding any way around it, other than to set up an Excel spreadsheet separately to try and keep track of budgeting.
When I first looked at Moneydance, you had a Zero-based budget add-on called MoneyPie, which looked really good. However, it's no longer being developed for Moneydance.

Julie
