MD is really user unfriendly. All I want to do is duplicate my budget with its custom categories (from 2022 ro 2023). It was done monthly with the estimated amount, actual amounts (and difference was calculated). I've tried budget manager, clicked on the file (edit was highlighted) but nothing lets me change default categories. All I can do is close the box. I'm not really happy with MD because I thought it was a one-time purchase price of $49.99 and now I find out it's an annual subscription. Please let me know about either copying a prior budget or creating a new from scratch with my custom categories. Thanks very much for your time and assitance.

Very Best regards,
Mike McKinley.

Mike, just another user here, I just posted an extension I wrote for monthly budgets. I didn't include the ability to select categories so it may not meet your needs but categories that are hidden or marked inactive will not be shown. check it out and see if it will work for you. Look at the Initialization button - you can create this year's budget from last year's budget or actuals. Let me know what you think.
