Is it possible to eliminate certain categories from a budget? Also, I want my budget to be static month after month. It makes no sense for me to update the basis for a budget every month. Can I create a static budget that I don't have to "pull" the budget from the previous month?

many of us agree. Just use the old style mixed interval period when you set up the budget and you won't need to fool around with bumping it forward each month and you will have more options to manage using that budget style
