I ask this every year with no easy solution, so if there is a change for 2026, I would appreciate any information. I want to create a Budget for 2026 that is monthly and based upon the expenditures for 2025. I don't care if it takes the total for 2025 and divides by 12, or uses the actual monthly totals. I just would like MD to create the budget rather than me manually entering every category for every month.

I did not see an extension that would help with this either.

Thanks.

The current version of Moneydance is 2024, the same version that was current last year.

The only budget generators that I am aware of are:

    and

I figured. The Budget Gen extension does not show up in the MD program. The link does talk about it, but it seems Mike quit updating it a decade ago. Also, I could not find anyway to download budgetgen.mxt

Sounded good, but just doesn’t seem to be available.

Thanks. Lots of warnings from MD but I’ll give it a try.
