The subject says it all. If after I've created a budget, how do I give it a different name?

You can re-name a budget within Moneydance, but there are different ways depending on the budget format you're using. I've provided some links to articles below, so you can check the format of your budget.

When using the New format budgets you'll need to go to Tools --> Budget Manager, highlight the relevant budget and select 'Duplicate'. In the 'Edit Budget' window that opens, you can rename the budget within the 'Name' field and select 'OK'. You'll then see the 'correctly named' budget in the sidebar, where it can be selected, and the 'wrongly named' budget can then be deleted with Tools --> Budget Manager.

When using the Mixed Interval Format budgets you can simply select the budget in the side bar, then select 'Edit' at the top right of the register. This will open the 'Edit Budget' window where the budget name can be changed.

I hope this information is helpful, please let me know if you have any further questions.

Jenny, thanks. I was aware of that work-around, but thought there would be
a more straight-forward way to do a rename. But, question answered and I'm
    happy. Thanks again!
