While in the Home Summary Page,. right-click on
a budget bar. You will then see a mini-menu popup showing the
entries of Move Up, Move Down, Remove. I hope that does
the trick. (g)

That fixed it!
One other question I'm hoping you can answer. Some of my budget
items are "out of date". what does this mean? I rolled over the
previous and unfortunately went over budget, so the previous is
actually a negative, but shows as "0" when I open the actual
budget. Does Out of Date essentially mean out of money???

amytag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/366955982015-05-02T15:09:01Z2015-05-02T15:09:01ZHome Page Budget Appearance

Hi Amy,

By the amount showing as a "0" (internally), the Widget thinks
that you have not budgeted for the new period. I think that is the
case. (g)

By the way, here is a link to information before the Budget Bar
Widget was an integral part of MD. Scroll down to the
Usage Section to see information about being
Out of Date:

By the way, Happy Mother's Day.

I think that we have discovered a Bug in MD.
The Rolled Over Amount should be reflected in the new Actual Budget
Amount; instead of the Actual Budget Amount being set to
ZERO.

fix to the bug?
If not, at least I can come up with some sort of manual work around
for now. thanks again for your responses!
And yes, I will enjoy Mother's Day - Thank you! #2 is due in
September! (hence my panic over the budget ;) )

amytag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/366955982015-05-03T18:20:14Z2015-05-03T18:20:14ZHome Page Budget Appearance

Hi Amy,

You are welcome.

Like you, I am only a user here; so I do not know the intentions
of the IK development team. I do know that they have many other
problems to solve; so budgeting is probably of low priority to
them.

Ah, can't wait for September? (G)

I think we're fixed this in build 1205, which will be available
on the preview site shortly. Can you try out that build and let me
know if it solves the issue you are seeing?

I assume you are talking to Jerry when you ask to "try that build".
Correct? i dont' have access to the preview site (to my knowledge).
:) Thanks! and please let me know when this is corrected and how I
can update my software to reflect the bug fix. Thanks!!

amytag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/366955982015-05-10T12:06:32Z2015-05-10T12:06:32ZHome Page Budget Appearance

Amy,

Follow Des (dwg) link to reach the current preview build (Which
is now 1205). Since I have not rolled over any budget
items, I do not know if your situation has been fixed or not.

different data files you would need to set up another user perhaps
a test account and install Moneydance using this user and a
different location to your existing version.

dwg
