We have recently added support for: 1. Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union 2. Wells Fargo Investments 3. Xceed Credit Union 4. Susquehanna Bank Group

We are planning to add 1. ING Direct 2. 3. MidwestOne Bank 4. Sterne Agee

We are also looking into issues related to connecting to SCSCU.

We are also exploring the possibility of beginning to add support for non-US banks. If you believe your non-US bank may be supportable, please post a request that we research that here.

Unfortunately, I have just discovered that the following banks are not available for Direct Connect support after all.

    1. MidwestOne Bank
    2. ING Direct

These institutions no longer support Direct Connect and only support Web Connect. It is of course, still possible to download your transaction histories from these bank's websites and import the files into Moneydance.

Sterne Agee does support Direct Connect, however, and should be added tonight.

I would like to directconnect with American Airlines Credit Union at DFW airport in TX.

Also, Citi Cards has apparently stopped support for their "vendored" cards, like my Shell Mastercard. grrrrrr.

Franklin Templeton supports OFX (I used previously with Quicken). Can you support them, please?

Patrick, American Airlines Credit Union only has support for downloading your transaction history from their website. The downloaded file can be imported easily into Moneydance, however.

Wainwright Bank and Trust in Boston does not support OFX server direct connections so we are unable to support them. You can of course still download your transaction history from their website and import that file into Moneydance.

    1. I would like to suggest/request that there be a spreadsheet or the like where you list all institutions that have Direct Connect, don't have it, or it has been requested by a user and you're checking into it. There seem to be 2 or 3 places to look for this info & it's not very well organized, so I (and I presume others) spend a lot of time checking through postings to see if something's been done.

    2. I have requested before, and you said it was in the works, to add Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union. I do not see it. I do see Hudson Valley, but that's a different institution.

    3. I have also requested Ulster Savings Bank (KIngston, NY) but can't find any response about it. Sorry if you've responded and I missed it.

    4. I would also like to suggest/request that you unify your systems. I went to what appears to be the same help forum as this one & my login didn't work. I finally figured out that I needed to log in to infinitekind rather than moneydance!

If this is a response to my post (#10 above), it is only marginally helpful and responsive: the good news is that the list of banks you cannot connect to I don't remember if I've seen before and I see that people are putting dates when they add info. So that piece is helpful. The list of banks that you can connect to has no date but refers to MD 2007, so it's probably pretty out of date but there's no way to tell when it was last updated that I could find. I've checked that list periodically for a few years now. The banks that I mention in my post are on neither list.

The other piece I was addressing is that finding info is a little confusing and daunting. Maybe it's just me, but I am a pretty smart guy-I have an advanced degree and used to manage a network in the DOS days. Your systems seem duplicative and don't talk to each other. You have to look in the wiki, the Infinitekind forum, the Moneydance forum, the FAQ and maybe more. I know you guys are a small operation and I really appreciate what you do; I just want to let you know that this confusion is not good for customer relations, at least not this one.

I agree with your feedback. We are in transition and do plan to streamline, compile, and better structure things.

It is best for each request to have it's own thread. I know I'm the one who began this thread and agree we need to be more systematic in how we approach this. But it would be best for each new institution request to have it's own thread. I think your suggestion that we begin a list of banks that cannot be supported is a good one. My previous comment includes a link to the list of banks that we do support.

    1. Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union is a bank that cannot be supported until they begin to offer support for OFX servers. Sometimes asking credit unions in particular to begin providing this works. They are often willing once they understand what they need to do. You can have them contact us.

    2. Ulster Savings Bank (KIngston, NY) can be supported. I don't recall seeing an inquiry about it previously. We should be able to add it within the next week.

In general I think threads that contain multiple issues adds to the disorganization of information. Thanks again for bringing up the issue of access to information in general. I agree that we should address it.

the list mentioned in your comment (14) was mentioned before (comment 12, wiki article) and is the one Gandalf refers to as having no date of modification - it states to be for MD 2007 and the page itself bears a copyright date of 2008.

You may also use, modify or rework the list of banks not working with MD (wiki article, see comment 12).

btw. I agree with Gandalf too...

additionally the old MD forum and getsatisfaction might be closed/integrated with the new support system

for not replying to every of your points. I wanted to let Brian or Sean do a statement about current support system and let support staff giving you further advice.
My first comment to you was just ment as a quick hint to further information you may not have found yet - but I knew they would not be sufficient ...

As far as I can tell, it has not been added. If it has been, how do I set it up; it doesn't appear in the "new connections" list under "Setup online banking"? If it hasn't, do you have a sense of when & how would I know when it's ready? Will you email me or update this list:, or what?

Is there a reason why this question has been ignored?

What do we do w/re: Capital One changes?

MoneyDance / Capital One customers would REALLY like to know!

I have blindly attempted to apply the Quicken suggestions to my MoneyDance install, but they have not been successful -- I get this error:
There was an error communicating with your financial institution. The details of this error are below.

A communication or parsing error occurred. This could be the result of a network problem, a proxy error, or misconfigured server.
Error Description: HTTP Error:404 Not Found
a little "here's what you do..."<br/> or a "we're working on it, check back in an hour..."<br/> something?

    thank you!

I've been keeping an eye on this issue. Please see the following thread.

I have tried to re-enable my Capital One online services as of ~6am this morning, and it didn't work, but I had called their customer service number, and they said Tech support was taking longer to upgrade the system than anticipated.

I know you stated that adding Heritage Oaks is on your list and I don't mean to rush you, but is this something that will be added in days, weeks, or months? Do you notify us personally, on this thread, or on the FI list?

Thanks... Just excited to start using direct connect with my bank...

    Joel and Charles,

Sorry for the delay in adding your banks. We've gathered the info and just need to do some testing to make sure it's correct. We should have them added within the week. You can check our online list of supported banks to see if they've been added. If you'd like us to update you, please open another thread about your bank and we'll respond to you there.

    Capital One customers,

We're looking into the problems with Capital One. Please use the thread linked by bperboy to follow progress on that issue and ask any questions you might have.

If you have any further questions or problems, please open a new thread to ask them. this one's getting a too hard to keep up with. We'll have a much easier time addressing your concerns on separate threads.
