Online Banking - Putnam
I'm trying to connect online to Putnam - they are in the list of providers. However I get the following error "java.net.unknownhostexception:ofx.putnam.com"
Any ideas?

They aren't listed at www.ofxhome.com as having OFX support, and there is no DNS record for the host 'ofx.putnam.com" (from your error message).
You might want to post this under the "Financial Institution Direct Connection suport requests" forum, so the Moneydance support team can check their data.

Carol,
We support direct ofx connections for Putnam Investments, who do appear to offer direct connections. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that Putnam Banks supports direct OFX connections, which Moneydance (and other financial software) requires in order to talk directly to a bank. The best way to get your transactions into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download them from your bank's web site. You can download into QFX, OFX or OFC files (aka Quicken or MS Money files), any of which will import cleanly into Moneydance.
If your bank begins to support direct OFX connections in the future, we will be happy to work with them.
Would you please let me know which financial institution you are attempting to connect with so we can look into this issue further?
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thank you for your interest in Moneydance.
