<p>Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that either Target or Dupage CU
supports direct OFX connections, which Moneydance (and other
financial software) requires in order to talk directly to a bank.
The best way to get your transactions into Moneydance is to use a
web browser to download them from your bank's web site. You can
download into QFX, OFX or OFC files (aka Quicken or MS Money
files), any of which will import cleanly into Moneydance.<br></p>
<p>If your bank begins to support direct OFX connections in the
future, we will be happy to work with them.</p>
<p>Regarding Credit Union 1: Most financial institutions will
require you to enable your accounts for application-based online
banking. I'm afraid it is usually more productive to lie and tell
your bank that you are using Quicken. Moneydance uses exactly the
same OFX server connection protocol as Quicken but you bank
representative many not know this and mistakenly believe that they
do not support Moneydance. Calling up your bank and stating
precisely the following should get you started. "Please enable
direct connect on my account such that I can connect to your
servers directly with Quicken. Also give me the login credentials I
need to connect Quicken to this service."</p>
<p>Application-based online banking often requires a different
login/PIN than the ones that are used for ATM or web-based banking.
When you enable your account for access from Moneydance or Quicken,
your financial institution should let you know what customer
ID/login and PIN to use.</p>
<p>Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thank
you for your interest in Moneydance.</p>

The one I need is the "Credit Union 1 - IL" based out of Illinois. Can you confirm which Credit Union 1 is the one listed in the Moneydance program, and if it is not the one from Illinois check to see if the Illinois Credit Union 1 can be added. I used to have OFX Direct Connect with them through MS Money, but it seemed to have stopped in June of 2010. Not sure if they stopped offering the service or just changed the credentials. Credit Union 1 - IL can be contacted at 800-252-6950. <a href="http://www.creditunion1.org/">http://www.creditunion1.org/</a></p></div>Andytag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/11054012010-10-12T17:42:03Z2010-10-12T17:42:03ZBanks<div><p>Hi Andy,</p>
<p>It looks like Credit Union 1 - IL is also web connect only now. You can still import their OFX files into Moneydance, but you'll be unable to connect directly.</p>
