Hello --

We reside in London and we have several bank accounts w/ Barclays. Unfortunately, they can only generate files in .csv format for downloads. I don't think it's likely for them to add the .ofx format in the nearest future. Is there a possibility for you to also include the .csv format in the nearest future?

Unfortunately CSV is a meta format and not a file format. Which is to say there is no standard way of storing transaction data in a csv file. The order, number and names of the fields in a csv file vary greatly. This means it is not possible for the software to automatically match the data in the csv file to the columns in the register. However we do have a free extension called the text file importer that can import csv file. The extension requires that the user specify which column in the csv file corresponds with which column in the Moneydance register. It is not perfect but it is better than nothing. Youcan install the extension by selecting Extension->Add, Click next, select Text File Importer and click next. This will add an additional menu item to the extensions menu.

    Sincerely
