Moneydance supports Direct Connect for automatic downloads. You
can view a list of banks that support this feature here.

Bank of America has recently discontinued their support for new
Direct Connect activations. However, if your account was activated
for direct connect before they turned off support, you should still
be able to connect in Moneydance. If this is the case, please
advise and I can provide the advanced setup for this.

If you haven't enabled OFX services with Bank of America
previously, the best way to get your transactions into Moneydance
will be to use a web browser to download them from your bank's web
site. You can download into QFX, QIF, OFX or OFC files, any of
which will import cleanly into Moneydance.

concerned about Direct Connection not being supported. The
alternative is a royal pain in the tail and time consuming. Is
there any indication BofA might reconsider in the near future. At
least my other USA accounts support Direct Connect.

I have several accounts with banks in China. Do you anticipate
any Chinese banks ever participating in Direct Connect.

While I hate Quicken, I am not looking to pay more for a program
that entails extra time and effort for the same outcome. Is there
any discount or other incentive for those of us with similar
handicaps to use your program?

Al Jarvistag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/397816672016-06-15T11:06:56Z2016-06-15T11:06:56ZBank of America

Hi Al,

It was fairly recently that Bank of America stopped supporting
Direct Connect, so it's unlikely this is something they'll be
bringing back any time soon. The best thing to do would be to
contact them, to express your concerns. They may be able to provide
some more information about future plans, and their reasons for
removing this service.

Without Direct Connect access, the best way to get your data
into Moneydance is to download from your banks website, as detailed
in the previous reply. Very few banks outside of the US support
this feature, so the majority of our customers download their data
this way.

If any of your banks begin to support Direct Connect in future,
we'd be happy to assist in setting up a connection. I'm afraid that
until then, you'll need to download your data manually.
