Santander Bank
Original bank in MA was
Compass Bank, which you list, but I suspect it no longer counts.
They were bought out by Sovereign Bank.
They were bought out by Santander Bank.

Hello,
Are you referring to the Compass Bank at http://www.bbvacompass.com ? If so, we already support direct connections to that bank.
If your bank is not Sandander, then they unfortunately do not support direct connections.

No, that is a different Compass Bank.
I contacted you about Santander because your literature said
“If your bank is not on this list, please send us a message to see if we can create a connection.”.
I was also going to do the same regarding my Capital One credit card.
I was also planning to contact both of them to urge them to make their systems work with Moneydance since direct connections do work in Quicken, even though Quicken appears to be in the process of going out of business, as did MS Money.

Unfortunately, Sandanter doesn't supports direct OFX connections, which Moneydance requires in order to talk directly to a bank. Capital One does support direct connections for regular bank accounts, but for some reason doesn't for their credit cards. We of course have little control over which services banks offer to their customers.
The best way to get your transactions into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download them from your bank's web site. You can download into QFX, OFX, OFC, or QIF files (sometimes referred to as Quicken or MS Money files), any of which will import cleanly into Moneydance. You can also open your bank's download page directly (after entering the appropriate address in the Account->Edit Account menu) by going to the menu bar and selecting Online->Open Account Website.
If your bank begins to support direct OFX connections in the future, we will be happy to work with them.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,
