Are you trying to connect to an ETrade Financial account or
ETrade Bank account? Currently, only ETrade Financial supports OFX
direct connections. If you have an account at ETrade Bank, the best
way to get your transactions into Moneydance is to use a web
browser to download them from your bank's web site. You can
download into QFX, OFX or OFC files (aka Quicken or MS Money
files), any of which will import cleanly into Moneydance.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thank
you for your interest in Moneydance.

replacement for microsoft money and would like to find some
software that will do this automatically (without a seperate
download). Does Moneydance have any plans to support this in the
future like microsoft money does?

Jimtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/47580002011-01-17T15:32:33Z2011-01-17T15:32:33ZEtrade new connection issues

Hi Jim,

We'd like to add support for web connect, and we're actively
exploring options to do so. However, it's a tricky problem, and
none of the solutions are quick to implement. We'll definitely let
everyone know when we have a solution, since this is our most
popular feature request.
