to the balance rather than subtracting is if the credit card
account holds a positive balance. E.g if you owed $100 but paid
$250 the balance on the account would be $150 in your favor. If you
then paid another $100 the balance would increase to $250 in your
favor.</p>
<p>If this is the first time you have set up the account you almost
certainly need to set the initial balance of the account as the
bank only provides the last few months of transactions. To set the
initial balance go into the account and from the menu bar select
Account->Edit Account... The initial balance needs to be set to
the balance the account held just prior to the oldest transaction
the bank let you download.</p>
