<p>I would start by calling your financial institution and asking
them which url you should use for this bank. We believe it is NOT
TD Banknorth NA. You should also check to make sure that you are
using the correct user name and password for this URL.</p>
<p>You should make sure your financial institution set up your
account as if you were using Quicken 2008 for Windows then it
should also work with Moneydance since they use the same protocol.
This is sometimes necessary as many banks don't yet recognize
Moneydance or know how to deal with it. Keep in mind that
application-based online banking often requires a different
login/PIN than the ones that are used for ATM or web-based banking.
When you enable your account for access from Moneydance or Quicken,
your financial institution should let you know what customer
ID/login and PIN to use.<br></p>
<p>Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thank
you for your interest in Moneydance.</p>

<p>I called TD Banknorth support (800-747-7000), again different
from TD Bank. The rep had no info regarding OFX info, and sounded
quite surprised that i was asking for it. He nonetheless took my
info and claimed someone will get back to me in 48 hrs. I'll post
an update when/if i get a callback.</p>
<p>The rep did mention that "in a month, everything will be in one
system" -- one url for web access, one url for ofx, one login, etc.
This one system will be branded TD Bank. He confirmed that TD
Banknorth will no longer exist. He had no comment on TD Banknorth
NA vs TD Banknorth. I hope this single system is the one you
currently connect to.</p>
<p>I also searched the web for related td banknorth ofx info. I
found the following info via <a href=
"http://www.ofxhome.com/index.php/institution/view/640">http://www.ofxhome.com/index.php/institution/view/640</a></p>
<blockquote>
<p>FI Id 1001</p>
<p>FI Org Banknorth</p>
<p>FI Url <a href=
"https://secure.tdbanknorth.com/scripts/serverext.dll">https://secure.tdbanknorth.com/scripts/serverext.dll</a></p>
<p>Last Validated September 1st, 2009</p>
</blockquote>
<p>I tried to create a manual connection in Moneydance but got the
following java exception:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>Error: java.io.IOException: Unexpected end of message while
reading headers</p>
</blockquote>
<p>This is the same error i get if i select TD Banknorth NA as the
institution in Moneydance.</p>
<p>Thanks again for your assistance. I look forward to using
Moneydance (and the upcoming features in MD10) as a native mac
replacement for ms money.</p></div>Keithtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/3363252009-09-02T23:50:23Z2009-09-02T23:50:23ZTD Bank online -- problem with banks td bought<div><p>Just got off the phone with Matt in TD Bank online banking
support. Regrettably, his team doesn't even get ofx connection
information, let alone disclose it. I opted to state i was using
Moneydance rather than masquerade as a Quicken user since i found
<a href=
"http://www.tdbanknorth.com/pfmaccess/">http://www.tdbanknorth.com/pfmaccess/</a>
that details step by step directions for Quicken -- no OFX info. He
quickly stated they don't support Moneydance (as expected).</p>
<p>Matt did confirm:</p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>former Commerce accounts are part of TD Bank</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>former HUB accounts are part of TD Banknorth</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>TD Bank and TD Banknorth are different systems <em>for the time
being</em></p>
</li>
<li>
<p>on 9/28, the two systems will be unified</p>
</li>
</ul>
<p>Matt's team was told the unification will be under TD Bank, but
he isn't 100% sure since he's not too close to the process.</p>
<p>If the unification is under TD Bank -- which seems to match
Moneydance support's belief that TD Banknorth is now TD Bank --
then my connectivity problem should disappear when they unify their
systems.</p>
<p>I still think there's a problem with Moneydance's configuration,
due to the java exception (unexpected end of message while reading
headers) i mentioned in previous posts.</p>
<p>keeping my hopes up for 9/28...</p></div>Keithtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/3363252009-09-05T21:37:49Z2009-09-05T21:37:49ZTD Bank online -- problem with banks td bought<div><p>Keith,</p>
<p>We are going to add TD Bank support so that we support both TD
Bank and TD Banknorth until they become a single connection. It
should be added soon.</p>
<p>Sincerely,</p>
<p>Brian</p></div>Brian Adlertag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/3363252009-09-06T14:23:32Z2009-09-06T14:23:32ZTD Bank online -- problem with banks td bought<div><p>Thanks for the follow up. I look forward to the fix/update.</p>
<p>One critical detail you probably know about already:</p>
<p>According to Charlene of TD Bank support (they keep calling me
back), the TD Banknorth connection info will be the system that
survives the merge. This is the system that i cannot connect to at
the moment. When the merge happens the TD Banknorth system will be
known as TD Bank and the existing TD Bank connection/system (that i
can connect with Moneydance) will be retired.</p>
<p>I suspect the convoluted nature of this may have resulted in a
miscommunication regarding which connection is which bank system,
and which bank system/connection will survive the merge.</p>
<p>Again, many thanks for your attention to this issue!</p></div>Keithtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/3363252009-09-07T07:42:45Z2009-09-07T07:42:45ZTD Bank online -- problem with banks td bought<div><p>Keith,</p>
<p>As long as you are running MD version 641, you should be able to
connect to TD Banknorth (however when you make the connection, the
name will change to TD Bank Online Banking). If your connection
information is being rejected, then it probably means that for the
time being you need to be connecting to TD Bank, once we have that
connection updated. Does that seem plausible to you?</p>
<p>Brian</p></div>Brian Adlertag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/3363252009-09-07T19:09:10Z2009-09-07T19:09:10ZTD Bank online -- problem with banks td bought<div><p>Brian -</p>
<p>Thanks for your suggestion, but in 641 no matter which variant
of TD i try, i cannot connect with my credentials for my old HUB
account.</p>
<p>No need to worry about this now, as it's a low volume account
for me. I'll wait for the merge of TD's systems. However, it is
quite important for me that i can connect after the merge.</p></div>Keithtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/3363252009-09-10T20:56:27Z2009-09-10T20:56:27ZTD Bank online -- problem with banks td bought<div><p>Hi Keith,</p>
