I cannot find a way to disassociate this and have manually fix it every month by changing the transfer field to "investment:Interst Received".

This does not occur on any other investment account. please advise how to disassociate my savings as the default interest for my Fidelity IRA.

Alternately, and maybe I need a separate thread, my TD Ameritrade downloaded transactions, record Interest as DIV, CASH ALTERNATIVES, yet does not try to pull from any other accounts.

On a broader scale, is there any way to make ALL interest received transaction behave the same across all accounts?

seanmusticatag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/490048692021-01-30T23:08:42Z2021-01-30T23:08:42ZInterest earned is pulling from another savings account

I do not know if this is the answer, but have you looked at the default category set on the investment account (tools/accounts/edit)?

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/490048692021-02-01T14:30:26Z2021-02-17T20:27:38ZInterest earned is pulling from another savings account

My default account category for my (2) checking and (2) savings accounts ((1)savings is the one that the Fidelity Interesting pulling from) are all set to ATM withdrawal.
What happen depends to a large extent on what i in the transaction that Moneydance receives, the software cannot make arbitrary decisions.

If a transaction is downloaded and the indicated action is XFR and no account is specified the software generally takes it from the first account in your list, it knows nothing else. So I would be checking at what the transaction provided by Fidelity looks like, to try to understand what is and should be happening.

dwg
