foreign bank
Are foreign banks supported on your software, in particular bank of Ireland? If not, is there a way to manually input data or to import data using a ".csv" file? Thank you

Hi Vctoria,
From what I've read on these forums, most foreign banks do not offer OFX direct-connect support. OFX direct-connect is the process by which Moneydance automatically connects to a financial institutions servers.
However, Moneydance can also manually import OFX, OFC, QFX and QIF file formas. These file formats are often referred to as Microsoft Money and Quicken formats, respectively.
Moneydance can import the CSV file format into Bank and Credit Card accounts but it is a little more involved. If possible, try to use one of the other formats. The .CSV file format can not, as of yet, be imported into Moneydance's Investment type accounts.
You can download a fully functional free trial version of Moneydance to get a feel for it. It has a limit of 100 manually entered txns. (imported txns don't count) If you decide to purchase a license key, entering the key will unlock the limit and you won't lose any data that was previously entered.

Victory,
Kevin is (sadly) correct, we're not aware of any Irish banks which offer direct connections. The best way to get your transactions into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download them from your bank's web site. You can download into QFX, QIF, OFX or OFC files (sometimes referred to as Quicken or MS Money files), any of which will import cleanly into Moneydance. You can also import .csv files as Kevin described, but this is much less preferable than the other file types.
I'm sorry I don't have a more immediate solution for you, but please let me know if I can be of further assistance,
