Hi Maddy,
I disconnected all accounts from all 3 banks and reconnected them and the downloads now work with MD+. I erroneously confirmed a transaction that should have been merged. With the QFX download I could delete the transaction and then merge it after the 2nd download. When I run the MD+ download, the deleted transaction does not trigger a fresh download that I can re-categorize. I have 3 options to download in the Online tab: 1. MD+ and the linked account, 2. MD+ and 3. open the bank page in browser. If I chose the download option from the browser, will that mess up the MD+ connection or can they be used independently to fix my mis-classifications?

    Hi Harold,

While you cannot "undo" the Merge option you can significantly limit them. To do this select Moneydance --> Preferences --> Network and set the option "Only match downloaded transactions when they are at most 'N' days apart". Change the N to 0. This should help limit any incorrect merges in future.

The easiest solution to correct the confirmation error would be to create a transaction to replace the one which has been 'merged' and therefore is missing from the register.

You may have use your bank statement for the transaction information. Also, amending the settings as I mentioned earlier will help reduce any incorrect merges happening in the future.

If you have a backup of your data from before the 'merge', you can restore and then go through the merging process again.

Alternatively, you could try to delete all newly downloaded transactions and download them again from your bank.

To achieve this select the Online->Setup Moneydance+ menu again, then click on an account (not the bank name) in the right column you should see a popup menu. If you select the Reset Sync Date entry, Moneydance will prompt you upon the next download to select how far back in time you'd like it to request transactions. How far back the transactions actually go is dependent upon the bank and/or their service provider, but Moneydance will request whatever date you specify.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.
