I have
spoken to them and they beleieve that it should be possible from
their end.

At the Online Banking Authentication stage I choose
Authentication Type as Password/ PIN, I enter my user ID and then I
am unclear as to what shoudl be in teh Password/PIN box. For the
bank I have both a password and a four digit PIN. Do I enter one or
both. Are they to be separated by a slash or not. eg
abcdef/1234

The bank seem to know very little about such direct connection
but believe it should work automaticaly with Quicken etc.

Many thanks

nigelmcctag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/5728902009-11-11T15:56:29Z2009-11-11T15:56:29ZUlster Savings Bank connection problems

Hi,

Your bank should be able to tell you which password to use to
authenticate. It varies from bank to bank. You shouldn't need both.
I would try each one and see if it works.

If neither of them work, you may also need to have your bank
activate your account for direct connect. If you call them and ask
them to set up your account for direct connect through Quicken
2008, they might be more helpful. Also, if they say it's already
enabled for web connect, tell them you specifically want OFX direct
connect. Some bank support folks don't realize there is a
difference.

Good luck! Please let me know if you still have problems with
after talking to your bank.
