Full Functionality on iPad Pro

I saw a conversation between IK and another user about being able to get full functionality of Moneydance on iPad Pro. In that conversation the IK rep suggested that a fuller functioning app would be coming. That was December 2019 and I am wondering when that functionality might be upgraded for the app? Like the previous user, I use, almost exclusively, my new iPad Pro and would like to be able to do the same things on my iPad that I could do on my Mac. If you could advise a timeline for the update I, and I am sure many others would be grateful.

I have to say it is a great product and I don’t want to have to move away from it but with the world being so mobile now we probably need the app to be fuller functioning please.

Many thanks.

    Hello,

I'm not sure which thread you are looking at. We generally do not provide timelines for releases or new features. What I can say is that we do have plans to eventually add more functionality to the mobile apps, but that for the foreseeable future, the mobile apps will still need to be paired with a desktop app, which will remain the primary system for most of the program's functionality. That's about as specific as we can be, and I apologize if whatever you read made it seem like this additional mobile app functionality was close to being released.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

Thanks Ethan for your prompt response.

Where I saw the conversation was one similar to mine between IK and a user. It was back in December 2019.

Nonetheless, I am fully mobile now and so not being able to do things like change categories, etc on iPad is unfortunately make me look for an alternative. You have a really good product and I really like it but if it has to be a slave to the Mac then I will have to make the change.

    Thank you anyway.

    Cheers,

    Hi Tom,

I'll pass your feedback on to our developers. This is in our long-term development plans, but I don't think we'll see any significant moves in this direction in the immediate future. An independently functioning mobile app would require writing the program for that operating system from the ground up, which would be a significant undertaking. I'm sorry if that doesn't meet your needs.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

I completely understand Ethan and I am certainly not expecting or asking for it to be done for me. Like I said, I think you really have a great product and I love using it. But things move on. I had Quicken for year but you guys blow them out of the water!

I very much appreciate your responsiveness.

Stay safe and well and thank you again

    Cheers,
