<p>See the attached screen shot of an example sell transaction of a
mutual fund in the investment register.</p>
<p>The other options necessary for a sell transaction are:</p>
<p>The security you are selling. In the example screen shot I have
selected "Mutual Fund A" from the security list.</p>
<p>The number of shares in that security you are selling. In this
example I am selling one.</p>
<p>The price per share. in this example this is $100.</p>
<p>The fee category. This is the expense account that will record
the fee. In this example I have selected "Investment:Trading
Commission"</p>
<p>The fee. In this example the fee was $5</p>
<p>To choose the Lot matching option for the cost basis calculation
on thi security click on the security detail button at the top of
the register in the investment account. Select the security you are
interested in from the security picker on the right. Click the edit
Security button. The window that pops up will allow you to set the
cost basis to Lot matching.</p>
