Accounts: Changing An Asset Account to a Bank Account

Importing our data initially resulted in a Bank Account being listed as an Asset. How do I convert it to a Bank Account while carrying all the transactions in that account?

Hello,
You cannot change an account type after it has been created. However, you can create the account correctly using the Account -> New Account option from the menu bar. Then go to the incorrect Asset account, select all of the transactions, right-click on the selection, and choose Batch Change -> Account. This should move all of your transactions to the correct account. You can then delete the incorrect account from Tools -> Accounts.
