<p>Sean started Moneydance as an open source project over 10 years
ago. As nobody else in the open source community was contributing
any code he closed the source of the program and turned it into a
business. Moneydance is now a team of 3 programmers and 5 others.
The others are mostly focusing on technical and customer support.
While we are small company, compared to the intuits and Microsofts
of this world, we have built a strong user base of 10s of thousands
in the last decade. We actually think our size is something of an
advantage. It gives us a closer relationship with our users and
makes development more agile.</p>

service I have had in the first few weeks I have been setting up
and using MD. The bulletin board is a very valuable facility that
solves most issues before asking the question.</p>
<p>Great programme that really does the job even if here in the UK
you cannot link directly to online bank accounts - not sure I
really want or need that facility.</p></div>John Palmer
