transfer money dance to new Mac

I tried using migration assistant to move money dance from older Mac to Big Sur. It did not work. Can I redownload using my key to the new computer

    Having used Migration Assistant myself quite recently to transfer between Macs I can confirm this should transfer MD without any issues.

    You don’t say what version of MD you were running before or what Mac OS you had on your old Mac. As you are now running Big Sur you should download & install the latest version of MoneyDance. At:- https://infinitekind.com/download-moneydance-personal-finance-software

    Depending on what version you had before, this maybe a free update, or failing that you should be entitled to 50% discount. You can check it out on the purchase page see upgrading at :- https://infinitekind.com/purchase prior to downloading the latest version.

    Your MoneyDance Data should have been transferred with Migration Assistant & the new install should find & update your data.

    I'm a fellow user.

    If I might add any Moneydance release prior to 2021.1 is probably going to have some issues with Big Sur, issues around later versions of macOS not allowing existing owned versions of applications to work properly have been around for some years.
