<p>I will try to cover some of your questions, some will require the company to answer.</p>
<ol>

<p>As a former user you would be aware that Moneydance is not accounting software, it does not provide the sort of accounting reports that a business requires, it can record transactions that could potentially be used as an input to other processes but that is the limit.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>As for how the software is licensed TIK would have to provide guidance, business use is generally licensed different to personal use.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>As a technical level for multi-user use a copy of the software must be installed on each individual machine, it can not be run from a server, each user will have a copy of the data file locally.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Dropbox is only required if you need to use mobile applications, if your work is all desktop/notebook machine based then you could use a server on the LAN to provide a shared location to exchange date between system, this is done by Moneydance under its control with no user intervention.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>The different between Dropbox folder and Dropbox connection is that the folder implementation requires you to have installed the Dropbox client and this client is used to perform the actually syncing to the Dropbox server. Dropbox connection however uses an API within Moneydance to sync the data directly to the Dropbox server.</p>

<p>To add to this useful information I thought it's worth mentioning that for personal use, we ask that you buy just one license per household, no matter how many computers you install it on, operating systems you use, people who use Moneydance, or data files you create.</p>

<p>Then make sure you are on md2021.1(3069)</p>
<p>Then menu. Help. show console. Keep console open. Then try to connect sync again.</p>
<p>We really need to see the console / your errlog.txt file at this point.</p>
<p>Plus send a screen shot of the screen when it’s frozen</p>

You can then delete the hidden dropbox .moneydancesync folder.. Once that's done, you can setup sync again.</p>
<p>As for disconnecting and logging out of Dropbox, I don't actually know how you undo that. I'm hoping someone else will jumping here..</p>
