Many years ago, there was a report for a ledger, or in MoneyDance terms, an account. This was very handy for balancing checkbooks. Is there a report that would do this?
Alternatively, is it possible for someone to write the code?

What exactly do you want it to look like?

Have you looked at any of the standard reports:
    - Transactions - Income & Expense - Cashflow

Also, the extract_data extension... Option: Extract Account Registers

    ?

(not support, just a fellow user)

Yes. Those sort the transactions by category.
What I want is everything in the account just as it appears in the account as a report.

"Also, the extract_data extension... Option: Extract Account Registers"

I don't know that. I have never seen it before. What is it?

The Transaction Filter will produce a transaction listing as you describe

You can dump your txns to a csv file. Double click to open in Excel. Filter etc in there..

"extract_data extension" This does work but I don't need the extra fiile laying around, I'll be happy when you have an onscreen option.

"The Transaction Filter will produce a transaction listing as you describe'

This is the one I was looking for.
