Hi Moneydance team

I'm a little confused about the latest update which I hope can be explained. This is the first version increment for me that requires a paid upgrade. The blog appears to suggest that the new upgrade is known as Moneydance+ and is a subscription service, but takes me to a page where there is a one-off payment. To be honest, I'm not interested in a subscription. I'm happy with the one-off payment variant and have no issues in moving to a newer variant to ensure IOS compatibility and to see new features. So my questions are:

Is the 2022 version only subscription based or is that simply to gain added features?
If there is a standalone non-subscription upgrade, what improvements does it bring versus the 2021.1 (3069) variant?

Version 2022.0 is a one off purchase, If you bought direct before, it should be a half price upgrade.

Moneydance+ is a separate bit, that MD had to move to with OFX support dwindling with banks. That costs $2/month, but it is OPTIONAL. If you don't need extensive connections to bank automatic downloads, you don't have to use it, nor pay for it.

The one off purchase (direct) also entitles you to another year upgrade (say 2023) for free before you'd pay again (and you don't have to upgrade at all if you are satisfied with the version you are using).

    just a user....

Thank you DWG, that certainly puts my mind at ease that it’s not subscription only. So I guess it’sa one off upgrade for me to keep software compatible with ios upgrades and receive any new features.

    justa user-

the one off upgrade will allow you to use icloud for syncing vs. dropbox. BUT, the ios iphone/ipad bits aren't in place yet, though syncing with icloud between mac computers works. the rest is coming (hopefully) within a month.
