if for no other reason, I'd move to 4061 since 4056 has some bad ofx bugs.

As to will it work with el capitan, my main concern is the java 17 change made in 4058.

Someone else might jump in on that type of thing.

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/495001462021-11-19T23:47:01Z2021-11-19T23:47:01ZMoneydance 2022 with Mac OS 10.11.6

I'm a fellow user.

Build 4056 uses Java 15 Build 4061 uses Java 17.

Hence build 4056 working on macOS 10.11 is expected.

I do not expect to see any official statement given the age of El Capitan so I believe we need to look at Java support and user reports.

The Java support pages for the build that is being used with Moneydance is showing a minimum macOS version of 10.14.

I have seen a creditable report that it runs on 10.13. That is High Sierra so that does not surprise me.

Sierra or 10.12 we all gave up on Java had problems on this release.

There have been a number of reports of Moneydance versions that use Java 17 are not working on 10.11,

So I would say that it does not look good, but you would likely be on your own with support not able to really help.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/495001462021-11-20T21:31:42Z2021-11-20T21:31:48ZMoneydance 2022 with Mac OS 10.11.6

Many thanks to both dtd and dwg for your responses.

Based on them I'll leave MD as is with 2022 while I remain on El Capitan.

Adrian Gill
