<p>No not a noob question, but one more about customizing Moneydance to suit.</p>
<p>There are a number of approaches you can take, what to do depends on your overall objectives.</p>
<p>Here are some ideas.</p>
<ol>
<li>
<p>Mark the accounts you want to track but not include in net worth as inactive. They will show in Moneydance displays as having a zero balance but open the register and they are fully active and you can see the balance.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Get rid of the various widgets on the summary Page that show Net Worth and create you own net worth report that you open when required.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Install and use the Toolbox extension to specifically select what accounts to include in Net worth i.e. overriding the default criteria.</p>
</li>
</ol>
