Is there a way to archive past years' records

I'm a fellow user.
Short answer is no.
Moneydance had the capability some years ago but is was very problematic especially where investment accounts are involved where date based archiving is usually not a valid approach. Archiving also significant reduces the long term reporting you can perform, since the data is no longer present.
The reasons for archiving on computers have largely also evaporated. Originally computers had limited processing power, limited memory and limited storage, problems that do not really exist today.
In general if what you are looking to do is reduce the amount of data shown it is recommended to use the account filters
