I am starting a new account and I need to enter a starting balance. How do I do that?

    Hi Tom

To set an initial balance for any account highlight that account in the Side Bar, list on left and click ACCOUNT – EDIT ACCOUNT and enter the amount in the INITIAL BALANCE field.

    Hope that helps.

I have followed the directions you suggested but I do not get an initial balance field to enter an amount.

    I'm a fellow user.

When you open the Account Information screen as Derek as indicated you should get a window that looks something like the attached

The initial balance is the fourth field down as indicated.

    Hi Tom

if you follow the steps, highlight a account in the Side Bar, list on left and click ACCOUNT – EDIT ACCOUNT you can enter a INITIAL BALANCE.
    See screen shot.

If you still have problems then follow the steps and post a screen shot of the Account window you see.
