I purchased Moneydance for use on Windows 10. i ha now purchased an iPad Air 4th generation and wish to install Moneydance on my iPad when I do install from the App Store I’m asked to set up a Dropbox account before I can go any further, I don’t wish to create a Dropbox account how can I get around this? As I purchased Money dance I don’t want just the free version, rather the full version I paid for. How can I overcome these two problems?

I'm just a lurking user. Others will probably chime in with more complete info. MD for mobile devices do not have the same capability as your Win10 version. They are made to allow you to make entries "on the road" so to speak. There is a lot of functionality in the desktop program that is NOT in the mobile app. Basically you enter transactions you make with bank accounts and credit cards. Dropbox is used to sync those entries from your mobile device to the desktop program.

Thanks John, looks like I’ll need to find an alternative. Jim

    Hello,

The above response is basically correct. The mobile app is currently really only for entering in transactions on the go and viewing balances. It must be paired with a desktop version of the program, which has the full set of functions like connecting to banks, making reports and budgets, etc.

Most disappointing, I purchased moneydance when using Windows I have now
switched to using an Apple iPad Air so I can no longer use moneydance.

The desktop version of Moneydance requires macOS 10.12+ as outlined here and also here.

So, unfortunately your Apple iPad Air only supports the MOneydance iOS mobile app, as outlined here.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.
