Can search and replace replace category with a split category?
Is there a way to use search and replace to replace a category with a split category? Example is I would like to take an ATM transaction which has a cash amount plus a fee ($200 cash and a $3 fee) showing a total of $203 and have it split into two categories. Presently they are recorded in ATM Trans as a category. One would be ATM Cash $200 and then ATM Fee $2.00. I have a way going forward to start recording these transactions as a split but I would like to go back and change all the ones I have already processed. It would be time consuming to do this manually but my be the only way to fix them.

Find and Replace can only change the value in a field, the utility cannot restructure a transaction.

Whilst there is no obvious simple way,MD will retrospectively enter autocommitted reminder transactions from a start date (and end date if you wish) that is in the past.
So if these were on any sort of regular basis, you maybe able to get them in by creatively creating autocommit reminders. Perhaps use some identifying text that could be removed later in order to differentiate them from the ones to be removed.
I often add @!@ to transactions that need future attention and then remove those chars once attended to. Unfortunately, there is no MD method of flagging transactions for revisiting.
You can use Batch | Delete to remove the existing ones - possibly waiting until after you have matched them one-by-one or via report with the new ones.
However, as always BACKUP FIRST!! :-)

Thanks for the responses. I thought it was a shot in the dark but it would not hurt to ask. MD and all the extensions can do so much more than is obvious at first glance that I just thought maybe there was a way and I was just not seeing it. It is just amazing all the feature that are there and often overlooked.
