I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi Mal
I am no Linux expert but I am running Moneydance on Mint, Feren OS and Ubuntu
This is the process I use:
Downloaded moneydance_linux_amd64.deb
If not installed, install “GDebi Package Installer” in terminal
sudo apt install gdebi
Hope this helps.

The Moneydance snap is very out of date, the 2019 version I believe (which seems to be supported by your terminal output). I reported this to our developers a while ago, but evidently they have had issues removing or updating it. It's unclear to me what you have installed now, but it's much better to install the version of Moneydance directly from our website: https://infinitekind.com/downloads
