You can do either of what you describe - install on the old Mac, then the new, and move the file. Since the datafile is compatible in both versions, you could also just install the new MD on the new computer and migrate the datafile.</p>
<p>I'd recommend the former, especially if you plan to keep the older unit (I kept mine) and then use syncing to keep them, well, in sync. :)</p>
<p>If you bought directly from Moneydance, you are probably eligible for a 50% off upgrade. I don't have the url directly, but someone will probably chime in.</p>
<p>After getting a new license, I'd move past the 4060 official release and get the 4063 version from the moneydance.com/preview area, as that is pretty much a bug fix version versus a preview of new features.</p>
