If you mean can you install Moneydance on say a USB key have it along with your data on said key and run it from the key, then the answer is no, the software is not designed to work this way.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/506544622022-03-14T21:51:05Z2022-03-14T21:51:05ZPortable version for Windows

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi Ben

dwg is correct. However if you want to be able to run Moneydance on more than one computer and see and work on the same data set then you can use Moneydance’s internal sync engine. Enter a transaction on one computer and the transaction will appear on all other synced computers within 60 seconds. See https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/syncing-and-sharing-data

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/506544622022-03-15T03:31:59Z2022-03-15T03:31:59ZPortable version for Windows

Hi dwg and derekkent23

Thanks for the quick response. What I meant by "portable" is to have a version
of the program which does not require installation and can be run directly
from a folder containing the program - be it on a USB or on the computer. Such
as any of the programs on https://portableapps.com/

All the programs I am using are portable. I find this very convenient for many
reasons. I was hoping to find a personal finance software which is also
portable but from what you are telling me MoneyDance is not :=(

Ben Friedlander
