What is the new method of moving a transaction from one account to another?

The old way included a checkbox for 'Account' when doing a Batch Change, according to a search online. This is not available in my Windows Version MD.

Std MD cannot do this. You need my extension. Install toolbox extension. Then from the extensions menu, select Toolbox: move investment transactions. You can either preselect txns in the source investment register to move BEFORE you run the extension or run with nothing selected and you can move the whole account (with filters).

    Mr. Beesley,
Holy smokes, that's a lot of confirmation clicks.

Why do you have the text to type set to "IAGREE" instead of "Agree" or "I Agree"?

(Side conversation... I am wanting to either find or build an aggregator from RobinHood Brokerage so that I don't have to manually keep up my accounts in MD. Do you know if something is already in the works?)

So did it work for you?

All toolboxes confirmations are ‘IAGREE’. That’s just what I decided. It has to be a deliberate user confirmation.

I don’t really understand your last question. Do you mean you want a way to download from RHB? Have you looked at md+ which uses Plaid?

    Mr. Beesley,
I tried that the other day and I guess an error happened without telling me it was an error. I got all of 'questions' answered so that it matches my securities, but now that it's been downloaded I'm having a problem matching transactions to existing ones. I'm new to Moneydance and I'm finding that it's not quite as intuitive as I was used to with Quicken.

How do you match stock buys and sells that are already in the account? Even when I highlight the two transactions (or just the one), the only option is to 'Confirm' at the bottom, but comfirm what?

There is no ‘merge’ capability on downloaded investment txns. Others who download this type of txn will have to respond.

    Mr. Beesley,
Thank you for your input. And yes, your extension worked great. :)
