I am converting to MD and as such I am attempting to gain the files for statements for credit cards from Chase. They do offer a download for Quicken or Microsoft Money, but attempting to download using those formats was unsuccessful. Does anyone have experience pulling transaction details off of Chase's website for transactions older than three months? Help is greatly appreciated.

    Hey Kevin,

I'm confused. I'm trying to extract the data from the .pdf and get it into Excel...is this the process??

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

I'm not sure if 'extract' is the word I would use. What I did was the simple, low tech, option of Copy & Paste. Copy the data in the .PDF and Paste it into a text editor, or if you prefer, Excel.

Is there a reason that you want to use Excel for this rather than a text editor? Granted, the use of a spreadsheet's 'Text to Columns' feature would help with formatting the Date column but it wouldn't provide too much more than that as far as setting up a .CSV file to import into Moneydance.
